Thanks for visiting this page. You may have come here from browsing our website, or perhaps you received one of our gospel cards? It is our desire at Grace Community Church Loftus to share the hope of the gospel, that "good news" about Jesus Christ, with as many people as possible.
Why?
Because it truly is the greatest message in the world, a message which has transformed millions of lives throughout history, for those who have embraced it.
Please read below for an expanded explanation of what the gospel is. Essentially, it's the "good news" about Jesus Christ, and what He came to earth to accomplish. Please read what is written below, and if you have any questions or would like us to pray for you, please contact us and we'd be more than happy to help you.
If you're interested in visiting our church, or weekly activities, please see the information at the bottom of this page - you are very welcome to join us. Click here for our address/location.
The ‘gospel’ is the good news about what Jesus Christ has done to save sinners.
[John 3:16 ESV] 16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
THE TRUTH ABOUT GOD:
GOD IS REAL, and He made all things.
(Genesis 1:1, Romans 1:20-21)
GOD IS GOOD:
He is LOVE (1 John 4:8)
He is HOLY (Revelation 4:8)
He is JUST (Ecclesiastes 3:17)
THE TRUTH ABOUT US (MANKIND):
WE ARE MORALLY CORRUPT & SINFUL
(Romans 3:10-12, 23) which means that because God is JUST, and because we are guilty of breaking His commandments, we deserve God’s punishment.
WE CANNOT SAVE OURSELVES
We can never be good enough to get to heaven (Ephesians 2:8-10).
GOD’S GREAT SOLUTION: (Romans 6:23, 2 Corinthians 5:21)
Jesus was God in the flesh – fully God & fully man
Jesus willingly offered Himself as our substitute
Jesus took upon Himself the wrath & judgement of God for our sins
Jesus rose from the dead, defeating sin & death and proving He was God
OUR RESPONSE:
We can respond to God, by turning from our sin (repentance), and turning to God by placing our faith in what Christ has done for us on the cross (Mark 1:14-15)
THE RESULT:
When we repent, and place our trust in Christ alone, it means we will be (Ephesians 1:1-14):
Forgiven of all sin
Justified in the eyes of God (made right)
Adopted into God’s family
Granted Eternal Life (in heaven forever)
Living a life of purpose - knowing, loving & serving God
Place your trust in Christ today, it is the most important and life-changing decision you can make.
If you would like to talk to someone about what you have read, please contact us – we would love to talk with you!
If you would like a free bible or if you are interested in attending a short 4-week course explaining more about Christianity, again just reach out and we'll get back to you very soon.
It is our sincere prayer you would find the hope that Christ offers you today.
